...breaking the chinese trend since I use too much chinese at work anyways...

Through work, i have been exposed to the controversial Hegemony issue in Hong Kong. Though I have not read extensively on the subject, it saddens me to learn about the Churches' and Christians' role and participation in creating some of the injustice and oppression in the society. My friend told me it is just the tip of the ice berg and that people are turning away in disgust.

The Fellowship of the Believers

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe [1] came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

What happened to that?

not sure what's going on in HK but sounds sad =(
learning more and more about fellowship too from 1 John and recently i came across these verses from Romans 15:1-
"We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. 3 For Christ did not please himself, but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.” 4 For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6 that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God."
